' Iroquois' , This piece was painted for my father Richard P. Freesland for flying helicopters of all sorts for over 20 plus years in the service and is one of the oldest pilots still flying for the federal government. The most widely used military helicopter, the Bell UH-1 series Iroquois, better known as the "Huey", began arriving in Vietnam in 1963, which was the helicopter my father flew in Vietnam.
